Autopatrol
[edit]
![]() | As a rough guideline, administrators usually require editors to have made more than 500 useful non-botlike edits, and to have been active in the last thirty days. Patrollers and License reviewers don't have to request this flag. |

- Not that I mind about patrolling, but autopatrol has become an actual right, and without it, Special:Upload often fails, meaning I can't even update a library file which has been outdated for over 5 years.😐 Thank you. Chealer (talk) 20:05, 19 March 2025 (UTC)
- Your edits here look fine to me. (I've also added the overwriting template to that file) Could you explain in your own words the reasons why you were blocked from frwiki last year? Abzeronow (talk) 20:11, 19 March 2025 (UTC)
- Yuri Samoylov (talk · contributions · Statistics · Recent activity · block log · User rights log · uploads · Global account information)
- As far as I understand, the autopatrolled flag will help to get around cases like this; in addition, I have plans to overwrite some of my uploads with better versions (using different noise reduction filters). Thank you. Yuri Samoylov (talk) 16:38, 24 March 2025 (UTC)
- @Jeff G.: User edits seem OK to me but there was the DR instead of a CfD for a category relating to Georgia (which was probably a newbie error). Abzeronow (talk) 19:47, 24 March 2025 (UTC)
- Which one, Commons:Deletion requests/Category:People of Georgia (country) by occupation ? It stemmed from a speedy deletion request of a duplicated category in order to move the edit history of the original category to the newly established title. For the reference: both categories are still there, as nobody has come around to cleaning the mess; same for other categories listed by me at that CfD. Yuri Samoylov (talk) 22:14, 24 March 2025 (UTC)
- I could clean up that mess since I can turn that category into a redirect and have a bot do the category moves. I would like to see consensus for that though. Abzeronow (talk) 19:20, 25 March 2025 (UTC)

AutoWikiBrowser access

- Hi. I've noticed some river categories contain several different rivers sharing the same name. AWB would be a good tool to help me split them, and then do similar jobs more widely. I've used it for quite a while on en wikipedia. Thanks. --Northernhenge (talk) 14:59, 14 March 2025 (UTC)
- I've granted autopatroller to you since that would help you access Visual File Change. I'm not opposed to granting you access to AWB but since I haven't granted this particular right before, I'm not exactly sure on the criteria (and I read your message on my talk page). Abzeronow (talk) 20:15, 26 March 2025 (UTC)

I want to have an ability to work with AWB with files that I uploaded. I have access in ruwiki (personally and for the bot), had an access for the bot for inactive bot in ukwiki, so I know how to work with it :) Анастасия Львоваru/en 12:15, 29 March 2025 (UTC)

- Recently, there have been frequent vandals who have vandalism the page, asking for authorization. Thank you. Thyj (talk) 10:14, 23 March 2025 (UTC)
- I'm not seeing that much anti-vandalism activity in your recent edits. Which page are you talking about? Abzeronow (talk) 19:36, 23 March 2025 (UTC)
- Because that vandal was so stubborn, I rollbacked and but he changed it back. Thyj (talk) 06:37, 24 March 2025 (UTC)

- Yuri Samoylov (talk · contributions · Statistics · Recent activity · block log · User rights log · uploads · Global account information)
- I've been routinely requesting renaming of photos of Georgia (country, not state) for several reasons: 1) criterion 3: [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] [7] [8] [9]; 2) criterion 1: [10] [11] [12]; 3) criterion 2: [13] [14] [15]. In addition, I would like to perform "manual" moves myself to fix capitalisation issues with Georgian titles and escape situations like these in future: [16] [17] [18] [19] [20] Thank you. - I would like permission to rename files according to the project's standardization. I have almost 15 years of registration and my requests in this regard are successful, so I would like to be able to do this on my own. Thank you. J talk 22:38, 24 March 2025 (UTC)
- Cyberwolf (talk · contributions · Statistics · Recent activity · block log · User rights log · uploads · Global account information) i have been doing a lot of file move requests which all are either pending or accepted I would like to stream line my processing Capabilities Thank you. Cyberwolf (talk) 16:21, 27 March 2025 (UTC)
- Hello @Cyberwolf, thank you for applying. I can see that you have a 50% success rate with your renaming requests. Also you just got autopatrol 4-5 days ago. Maybe you should come back when you have a much better record with your renaming requests. Thank you. Shaan SenguptaTalk 02:11, 28 March 2025 (UTC)
