Description
English: This is the 'Imich Siiyem' figure which was created by the notable Musqueam native Indian artist, Susan Point. The figure recognizes the estimated 10,000 years the Indian ancestors have lived on their traditional lands. It holds a fisher, which has the ability to carry power in positive or negative forms while the head of the figure is adorned with celestial images. It was first unveiled in March 1997 and is presently situated near the entrance to the internationally renowned UBC Museum of Anthropology in Vancouver, Canada.
